A boutique hotel on one of the most picturesque streets in the heart of Veliko Tarnovo. It is situated in an old house and welcomes its guests with coziness, designer surprises, and stunning views, blending tradition with modern design.
The building is part of an architectural ensemble surrounding the famous Sarafkina House and it hangs over the old bridge of the Yantra River. The name of this new family hotel "The Bridges Residence" carries a double meaning. On one hand, it refers to the bridge over the river, and on the other, it symbolizes the metaphorical bridges between generations within the family and between the past and the present.
What’s truly impressive about this hotel is the harmonious blend of old architecture and refined interior design, masterfully achieved by the team at Helix Studio. Externally, the building fits naturally among the surrounding structures built decades ago. Inside, the design transports guests into a modern environment that evokes a feeling of relaxation and elegance. The interior is bright and serene, with neutral tones complemented by beautiful furniture, lamps, and accessories. Notable features include the Art Nouveau-style headboards of the beds, made of wrought iron by master craftsmen from Plovdiv. Most of the furniture is crafted in Bulgaria, using wood from two walnut trees planted by the great-grandfather of the current owners.
