Situated on a 2,000-square-meter plot on the outskirts of the capital, the house is completely isolated from the street and maximally open toward the garden to provide privacy for the residents and strengthen their connection with nature.
We created a sense of lightness and spaciousness by elevating the structure above the ground. The L-shaped design separates the living areas from the bedrooms. The living room and party zone "perch" on the elevated garden level, while underneath we placed the spa area, wine cellar, and garage. The four bedrooms "levitate" in the air, supported by a single concrete column, and beneath them lies a decorative pond with Japanese koi fish. Stepped stone slabs cross the water's surface, leading to a cozy nook with an ethanol fireplace, facing the mountains. We integrated the four elements to achieve complete energy and emotional renewal.
The living room and party zone meet on a terrace with a skylight under which a bonsai tree grows, allowing natural light to flood the center of the house. To enhance this effect, we installed slits with overhead lighting in the bedrooms, living room, and bathrooms. According to the Eastern philosophy of Vastu Shastra, such an arrangement promises well-being for the home and its residents.
